...more powerful
Use the full power of your Internet connection and bring your callers into your broadcast in the best possible resolution, all the way up to Full HD. Enable additional desktop sharing and let your callers present their own content to your audience.
All this without any connection to your vMix system, but only through some clever link routing.
...more secure
Forget about the problems that arise when assigning call slots to multiple remote guests: No caller can interrupt an already existing call and suddenly burst into your broadcast anymore. Plus, from now on your caller doesn't have to remember to close an open event stream when he goes live: CallControl does that automatically.
...more comfortable
Send invitation links without creating a vMix project beforehand. Forget about confusing Excel sheets for managing call slots and passwords. Chat with a dialed-in caller even if he is not yet active in your vMix system. And when you're ready to go live: With a single mouse action you route an incoming call to the desired channel of your vMix system.
...more yours
We all know the situation: you have sent an invitation link to a speaker and when he clicks on it for testing he gets a blank screen that doesn't look very professional. This is now a thing of the past: Each speaker is taken to a branded event page with a personal welcome message. And when your event starts, he can watch your livestream, as long as he is not live yet.
2. With which licenses of vMix can I use CallControl? Are there any restrictions?
CallControl can be used without restrictions with all vMix licenses that offer the "vMix Call" function. Currently, these are the licenses HD, 4K, Pro and Max.
3. Can I already send invitation links even if I have not yet created a vMix project and do not yet know any vMix call passwords?
Yes, you can. All your invited guests get the same link (unless you want to create a personal link with a pre-filled name field) and they do not need a vMix call password. You simply store the passwords in your CallControl event at a later time.
4. Do I have to decide in advance which caller I want to receive on which caller input?
No, you do not have to. You can freely decide during your live show to which available caller input you want to route your caller. This saves you a lot of effort when creating your presets and makes you enormously flexible.
5. Can a connected caller share his desktop in addition to his camera image?
Yes, this is possible in all editions of CallControl. Please note that a parallel desktop sharing is counted as a second live caller channel in vMix and make sure that the bandwidth of your caller is sufficiently high.
6. Can a connected caller advance a remote PowerPoint or Keynote presentation with CallControl?
Yes, this is possible from the Professional Edition upwards. The caller does not need to have a second browser window open to access the presentation in a second app. The controls are integrated into the vMix call window. Cool, isn't it?
7. Can I communicate with callers who are in the waiting room and have not yet been routed to a vMix Call channel?
Yes, you can! CallControl offers a clear chat function with which you can exchange information with the callers.
8. Do I need to load any scripts into vMix to use CallControl?
No, unlike existing call management solutions, CallControl does not interfere with your vMix systems in any way. All of CallControl's functionality is based on some clever link routing and a bit of German engineering.
9. Do I have to make special settings in my browser to use CallControl?
No, unlike existing call management solutions, your caller does not need to disable ad blockers or change Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) policies. The caller only has to give their consent to the use of the camera and microphone exactly once.
10. Which browsers is CallControl compatible with?
CallControl works on all major browsers, specifically Chrome (from version 90), Firefox (from version 78), Edge (from version 91), Safari (macOS from version 14, iOS from version 12.5). Internet Explorer is not supported.
11. How many vMix systems can I use simultaneously in a single CallControl event?
The number of vMix systems used simultaneously is not technically limited. So if you absolutely want to, you can use CallControl's Business license to distribute 32 callers across 32 vMix systems. Probably this is a pretty pointless edge case, but it would work.
12. Can I switch a caller between different vMix systems?
Yes, you can. Route your caller first to a technician, then to an editor, and then to the production system live on your show. The caller doesn't even have to give consent to use the camera and microphone a second time.
13. I want to use more than 32 simultaneous caller channels in vMix. What can I do?
Please contact us by phone or email ([email protected]). We will give you a recommendation about a custom plan as soon as possible.
14. Which servers do the vMix calls go through when using CallControl?
The vMix calls run through exactly the same servers that vMix uses without using CallControl. CallControl does not intervene in the signal path.
15. Where is the data I enter in CallControl stored?
All data is stored on servers located in Germany that comply with all applicable German and European data protection regulations.
16. How do the various plans differ?
There are two main differences, namely the maximum number of simultaneously active events and the max. number of simultaneously used caller channels in vMix. Please look a little further down this page in the plans overview for the exact feature sets.
17. What limitations are included in the free trial version?
The trial version is the same as the professional license. So you can prepare up to ten events, one of which may be live in use. Each event can route any number of callers to up to twelve simultaneously active vMix caller slots. Important: In the trial version, each caller is moved back to the virtual waiting room after five minutes at the latest.
18. Can I customize the event home page to match the C.I. of my event?
Yes, this is possible if you choose the Business Edition.
19. What does the invitation link look like?
For example, the link is "https://cctl.app/l/..."
20. I would like to use my own URL in the invitation link. Is that possible?
Please contact us by phone or email ([email protected]). We will give you a recommendation about a custom plan as soon as possible.
